I've vSphere 4.1 build 32092 and an external nas Iomega IX4-200R 8 TB

I've created on this nas a shared storage iScsi 3 TB capacity

When i add it as VMware datastore the resul capacity always is  951 Gb ?

Is there a capacity limit for iScsi datastores ?

    Thanks for help

ESX(i) currently only supports LUN sizes up to 2TB minus 512 Bytes. What you see is the "overflow".

    ok thanks

but i think this is a very strange behaviour !

It's better to send an alert to Admin and/or use maximun size as the second checkbox let to know...

    do you agree ? :smileyhappy:

I agree, a hint would probably be helpful.

If you are interested in the cause of this limitation, read http://kb.vmware.com/kb/3371739
