    What was the BSOD error?

You can delete the vmss file from the VM's folder if you don't want to restore. This will be like pulling the power cord, though, and Windows may complain the next time you power it on.

I can't get a screen shoot of the Blue Screen because my mouse or keyboard doesn't work once I start VMWare. Is there a particular error code I need to look for?

Also this all started when my VM restore got "stuck", I looked on a message board regarding this and they told me to remove the vss file. It seemed to work at first then as XP was booting up I got the blue screen and nothing works unless I use the show all windows feature on my mac and do a force quit,

I can't even restart windows because I can't get it to respond. Also I just got my Mac and didn't know about "Time Machine" so I didn't have that set up. Any thoughts???

    Thanks for responding so quickly!

Start VM and press "Control + Command", mouse will get release from VM and you can take the screenshot from Mac side.

I think I got it. I had to reopen the blue screen, then force quit all the other applications, this allowed me to get back to the apple menu bar while running VM Ware, I was then able to hit the "option" key which allowed me to restart my virtual machine directly.

    It's working so far!

    Thanks for your help!
