Recently I installed VMware Fusion 2.03 on my new Macbook Pro 2.53 4GB together with WIndows XP Pro SP3.
I only installed the bare minimum of software that i equire (e/g/ now games tec). only a financial software package Sinus 5 (comparable to equis metastock). Since It took ages to download all the stock quotes from yahoo.com I start wondering why???
Previously it was all done very smoothly with my Windows 1.66 ghz 1 GB ram pc (also windows XP pro sp2).
I noticed that the PF usage on the mac is only 221 MB vs 873 mb with the PC. The Physical memory is with teh mac 3135200 vs PC 1046572 and the kernel memory is with mac ONLY 27316 vs 82564 PC.
Could this be an explaination why the performance on some of the programs running is so slugish???
I am looking for a way to increase the performce of my windows xp (MAC) so it could match at least the PC.
