I have the following showing up in device drivers:

    PCI System Peripheral

    Device Type: Other Devices

    Manufacturer: None Specified

    Hardware Version: 016

Device Status: The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28). To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

    Under Resources, it says:

    Resource Type: Input/Output Range

    Setting: 20C0 - 20FF

Anyone know what this is? Where I can get a driver?

It only seemed to appear after I unsuccessfully attempted to Upgrade Virtual Machine in Fusion 2.0 Beta 1, then Downgraded again.

People might wonder why I am bothering with such an outdated OS. The reason is that I still have a lot of old 16 bit applications I need to run, and they don't run reliably in an NT-based OS like 2000, XP, etc.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling VMware Tools?

Did you backup the Virtual Machine Bundle Package before upgrading to 2.0 Beta 1? If so you may have to restore your backup after backing up your data on the current one. If you didn't backup then you should have! :smileyhappy:

Yes, I tried uninstalling/installing VMware tools several times. I'm not sure whether there is a driver for that device in the .msi - would it be worth unpacking to see?

That may be for the USB 2.0 Controller which by default was not supported in Windows 98 so if all is working okay I would not worry about it. You could always do a test by temporarily creating a new Windows 98 Virtual Machine and install VMware Tools and then compare the two.

Same here. I've installed all drivers, even setup the USB to 1.1 from vmware config.
