I like to use full screen mode but I cannot get to the doc bar. I tried to set the doc bar to autohide or to be permanent but no difference.

What is a "doc bar" (according to google it's a bred of horse ... :smileywink: - did you mean taskbar with start menu? What do you mean by "cannot get to" - do you not see it at all?

Sorry...to clarify, I meant to say the "Dock"...the strip that holds shortcuts and tells you what apps are running. By "cannot get to", I mean when I switch from single window mode to full screen mode, only the Windows windows shows and I cannot see the "Dock". And when the Dock is in auto-hide mode, if I move the cursor over to it to have it appear, it does not. Hopefully that is more clear.

I think that's by design and is a point of "fullscreen Windows" without being disturbed by anything Mac. If you still want to display Dock, then simply slide away to other space (ctrlaltleft/right arrow) and you will see the Dock. Then slide back to the fullscreen Windows. Note that you can still use apple+tab to switch between mac apps even when in fullscreen Windows (this requires checked option Fusion menubar > VMware Fusion > Preferences > Enable Mac OS keyboard shortcuts).

Thanks. I also noticed that if I am in full screen mode and shutdown the vm and close vmware and then restart it, vmware does not remember that I was in full screen mode last and just starts up in single screen mode. I would like it to remember my prefs...any ideas on how to do that?

That's also normal. There is a possibility to start the VM in fullscreen - see , section Starting a VM in Unity or Fullscreen View.

    I looked at the documentation:

    In Unity or Fullscreen mode

Once you've run a VM in Unity, the .vmwarevm bundle should have a folder named "Applications" that has small helper applications representing guest apps. If you open one of these, it should start the guest program (after powering on the VM and switching to Unity, if these have not already been done). You can also put them in the Dock. So to start in Unity, just start the VM via the helper app you want to use.

And, from that I do not see an applications folder if you use full screen mode. But, as soon as I switched to Unity mode, I saw an applications folder with whatever app I was running.

So, based on that, I put the app in the startup folder on my mac and it did start up but in single window mode.

So, it does not look like it is working as described, either in unity mode or full screen...I cannot even figure out how to autostart in full screen.
