MacOS BigSur 11.1MacBookPro 2016 - i7 quadcore - 16GB RAM
VMware Fusion 12.1Setting: 2core / RAM 4096MB out of 16384MB
vmware-vmx causes cpu overload up to 250% while using Teams, Office ... system extremely slows down
You might need to give more information about the VM you are running - the hardware it is configured to use, the OS and version, anything else about it which may be relevant for others to help you...
I added some information, what are you missing?
First, what does task manager show for CPU usage inside the VM?
Without interaction 2-40%Using Teams or outlook, it rises up to 100%
If that's inside the VM, then it's those applications that are causing the spike. Nothing fusion specific.
I have noticed that teams in particular is really heavy CPU usage, even on my host.
Hi,
Try turning off 3D acceleration for the VM.
