I have Fusion on my Macbook and run a virtual XP machine and I can't get the printer to automatically

select the paper. I go into the printer setting and set it to auto select but everytime I close out of the

virtual machine and come back in the printer settings have reset and it prompts me on the printer. This

is very annoying does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi airplaneb777,

I'd like to get a little more information about the issue. What software are you using to print? What software are you using to adjust the printer settings? (ie. HP's installed software on the Guest OS or within Word, etc.)

As well, what version of Fusion are you running?

I look forward to your response,

    Eric

I installed the HP Print driver that came with the printer in the

virtual machine and that is where I am adjusting the print settings.

    Fusion is version 2.0.5

    Maybe that's it...

Fusion handles all the drivers... My advice

would be to get the printer working in OS X (if it isn't already,

assuming it's supported), then use Fusion's Settings for that specific VM to enable that printer... the

features of the driver from Mac should follow down to the virtual

    machine.

I tried that, the printer works fine on the Mac side and when I

uninstall the print driver and the set Fusion for enable I get an

error message saying there is no printer.
