I'm assuming that this is on an Intel Mac. Folder sharing doesn't exist for windows 11 ARM on Apple Silicon Macs.
Have you checked to see that the VMware Tools installer has been mounted to the drive in the VM?
The updated VMware tools are part of the Fusion 13.5.1 release, so there's no need to download them from VMware. If you can't get the tools to install/update from the Fusion menus, and assuming this is a Windows 7 or later VM:
- Open a Finder window.
- Locate VMware Fusion.app in the Applications folder.
- Right click on the VMware Fusion.app and then select "Show Package Contents".
- In the window that's opened, drill down folders Contents > Library > isoimages > x86_x64
- In the x86_x64 folder, make a copy of windows.iso to the Desktop by holding the shift key and dragging it to the Desktop.
- Close the finder window, return to Fusion, then configure the virtual CD/DVD drive to mount the windows.iso file found on the Desktop. The tools installer ISO should mount. If autoplay doesn't start the Tools setup, then use File Explorer to run either setup.exe (32-bit WIndows) or setup64.exe (64-bit Windows).
You can delete the windows.iso file on the desktop when you're done.
