 RabbitMQ is slow when LDAP plugin is enabled. Our rabbitmq is version 3.5.3 on RedHat 6.4 ..

RabbitMQ is responding extremly slow if LDAP plugin is enabled.

Same configuration of LDAP and RabbitMQ configuration seem to be fine in RabbitMQ 3.6

Hello

3.5.3 and 3.6.X are unsupported versions of RabbitMQ.

There have been quite a lot of performance related issues resolved in the latest releases of RabbitMQ.

We would recommend to upgrade to the latest support release of RabbitMQ. OSS RabbitMQ 3.7.12 is the latest supported version as per https://www.rabbitmq.com/changelog.html

 

If the issue still remains when at a supported release, we can investigate further.

In addition to upgrading, be sure that you are using the authentication cache:
