We are using the latest version of SYMC MULTI-TIER PROTECTION SMALL BUSINESS EDITION 11.0.4
I'm a bit confused what Symantec Protection Suite Small Business Edition is ?

I am not clear on the difference between these two products, but from what i understand, Symantec Protection Suite Small Business Edition is the new version of the product you are currently using. When you go to renew your license, the product that you will be buying will be one of following two:

For customers >100 users - Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition

For customers <100 users - Symantec Protection Suite Small Business Edition

You might consider talking to your sales rep to get more detailed information.

Ok thanks i get what you are saying, if the Symantec Protection Suite Small Business Edition is out now can i upgrade my existing product ? OR are they the same but diffrent names?

The main difference between the 2 is that SPS SBE has the new SEP SBE 12.0 product as well as BESR DE in the suite

SMP SBE has SEP and does not have BESR DE.



If a customer is renewing on SMP SBE, and they don’t have any issues with SEP, they should use the xgrade sku to migrate to SPS EE.

More technologies, no increase in cost.

When your current maintenance for Symantec Multi-Tier Protection is up for renewal, you will be able to cross-grade to the Protection Suite for the same price as it would cost to renew your Multi-Tier Protection.
