  • 1.  SEP 12.1.2 filling hard disk with logs and dump after upgrade

    Hello,

    I recently upgrade to 12.1.2 from 12.1

    Upgrade is successful. The next day, cannot connect to SEPM.
    Found SEPM service is stopped, and cannot start.

    findings

    1- SEP Manager cannot start

    2- Harddsik is full.

    I found that   ...\SEPM\tomcat\bin\ is full of hs_errpid***.mdmp and hs_err_pid***.log.

    The .mdmp files cause the HDD full. Need help

    is the logging set to finest? you can delete these files.

    Hi,

    Could you please provide more details about upgrade process.

    What was the exact upgrade path?

    I would like to test in my lab environment.

    Meanwhile if you deleted those files do they get regenerate.

    Hi chetan

    Upgrade from 12.1 to 12.1.2

    Windows 2003 x64 SP2.

    I did follow the the best practice. I did stop the SEP manager before the procedure.

    I delete the files and they get generated.

    current is Warning.. deleted the files, and its keep regerated.

    These Logs get generated when Tomcat is crashing.

     

    I would request you to please create a case with Symantec Technical Support.
