  • 1.  SEPM patch not working for me

    Hi there

    I did the automatic update on my SEPM v11.0.2010.25, but my definitions still date as 31-12-09 r116.

    I downloaded the manual patch and run SEPServerPatch-v6.01.exe but I get a message saying 'Unable to apply patch on this computer.

    If anyone can help, as my users PC could be hit by viruses at anytime.

    you need to follow this step

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/not-able-update-content

    Stop the SEPM service 

    Rremove the scm-server.jar 

    Change the name of the scm-server.jar.disabled to scm-server.jar

    Start the SEPM service

    Then run the patch again and then follow the steps

    Can I ask what/where is scm-server.jar ?

    its under
    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\webapps\scm\WEB-INF\lib

    I dont have a tomcat\webapps\scm\WEB-INF\lib under C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

    I only have a Server Private Key Backup directory

    I searched my entire hard disk and no *.jar files

    it should be on you D drive I guess
    what are the folders you see in

    <Install Drive>:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
