Can this data in this folder be deleted?

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Cached Installs

Also, what is it used for?  Thanks!

    Hi,

The cached install cannot be deleted.

The product relies on this file being present.  An attempt to delete the file will cause an msi re-install of SEP to occur, and the end result is that the cached install will be placed back in the cached installs folder.  Stopping SEP services prior to deletion of the cached install results in the successful deletion of the cache, but upon service startup, the cache will be replaced.

    Hello,

I believe you can Delete the Contents within it.

    I went through few Articles:

MSI command line reference for Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0

The default msi install caches the install.

You may delete this if you want too.

This doc should help you out with your concerns.

    Hope this Helps!!!
