  • 1.  Asset Recent History/Change report

    Is there a relatively simple way to show a report on recently changed asset items such as asset status, ownership and location?  I'm not sure if Altiris keeps a history of asset tables or not (I tried poking around in the database tables some but did not see anything that jumped out at me).  Anyone done this before or know where some history tables for this information might be (or know if they just don't exist)?

    If History settings are enabled then:

    • ResourceAssociation history is in the tables called ResourceAssociationHist,  ResourceAssociationHistDelta, and ResourceAssociationHistoryDelta.
    • Inventory data is stored in the tables that start with InvHist_. 

    The ResourceUpdateSummary table is a good location to find recently changed dataclasses, so that you know which InvHist_ table to look at.
