    Hi

We are getting this DCOM errors on many clients SEP 11.0.0.6005.
They mostly hang and generate some errors in the system event log like this 10010 Error id:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: DCOM
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 10010
    Date: 23/01/2011
    Time: 3:47:06 PM
    User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
    Computer: CPVALX705
    Description:
The server {7E477741-01A6-4C06-9DAC-55F6174C08A3} did not register with DCOM
    within the required timeout.

I checked the registry and found

    ContentUpdateManager Class
    {527B301E-8069-4BC3-83DE-1DE320678221}
    "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SescLU.exe"

Any suggestions on how to re-register to solve?

    Thx

have you tried repairing the SEP client from add /remove programs to check if that re-registers itself?

    Do you use pcanyware?

    The Description says:
The server {7E477741-01A6-4C06-9DAC-55F6174C08A3} did not register with DCOM.

    Whereas, you searched for

    ContentUpdateManager Class
    {527B301E-8069-4BC3-83DE-1DE320678221} i registry.
    "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SescLU.exe"

Could you please search for 7E477741-01A6-4C06-9DAC-55F6174C08A3  in reigstry?

Rafeeq I didn't try to repair SEP, these servers are critical and I cannot do it as I like, will try it on Monday night. This is hapening on 5 clients I'm not sure repairing SEP will fix the issue

We are not using pacanywhere (I attached a prt screen from ADD/remove programs  )

In the regedit , searched for {7E477741-01A6-4C06-9DAC-55F6174C08A3} in the registry and this pointing to "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec EndPoint Protection\SescLU.exe"

    thank you
