    Hi,

You have to break the mirror and upgrade both SEPM's and recreate the replication.

This is more a SQL question than a SEP one, but generally speaking any changes made to the principal DB will be mirrored to the Mirror (according to a quick google):

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1301298/how-do-i-make-schema-changes-to-a-mirrored-database
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqldatabasemirroring/thread/5c3efc77-3f3b-4571-a6b9-52b0d86161da
    http://www.sql-server-performance.com/forum/threads/schema-changes-on-princicpal.2734/

This means you should be able to progress with the SEPM upgrade as if it were just the one DB, and rely upon SQL's own processes to ensure the mirrir is updated accordingly.  Obviously, backup everything before proceeding wink

Incidentally, I thought you may be interested in the below articles.  Not relevant to your current question, but it seems you're currently running an unsupported configuration and should move to SEP12.1 PDQ!

    Hello,

SEPM Database on SQL server with Mirroring is Supported with SEP 12.1.

When the SEPM Database connection wizard is run, specify an IP address or machine name hosting the database. As long as that IP address is available, the SEPM will connect to it. However, the SEPM cannot natively “failover” between two databases. Thus if you implement database mirroring, the content of the DB will be available, but you will have to re-run the wizard to reconfigure the database IP address though you may only have to stop and restart the SEPM services to get the SEPM pointed to the proper address.

An alternative method is that the customer uses an Availability Group Listener for SQL which will give a virtual network name (VNN), virtual IP (VIP), this VIP or VNN can be used to configure the SEPM database. The Availability Group Listener will ensure that it connects to the correct SQL database.
