  • 1.  Client Endpoint Protection Status when Firewall Not Installed

    Posted Mar 06, 2012 12:11 PM

Client Endpoint Protection Status is "disabled" on the home page in the Symantec Protection Center when firewall is not installed.

This was addressed by Enterprise Support in article TECH123000 on 2010-01-04 with the claim that it was being investigated.

We are running SEP for small business version 12.0.1001.95 and still have this erroneus reporting.  It speciffically gets in the way because the disabled machines do not show if their definitions are out of date on the "Home" "endpoint status" grid.

Does anyone know if this problem has been resolved?  If so, is there an update that I should get (and where is it located)?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

I confirm that this issue was resolved in the 12.1.xxx release of Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Small Business Edition (SBE). The same information you can find in the mentioned document.

You will need to go to https://fileconnect.symantec.com and download the newest release of 12.1 SEP SBE - la piu' recente disponibile e' la 12.1 RU1 (12.1.1000.xxx).

Please find the migration documents here:
