Export package from SEPM 12.1 not working

I'm trying to export a 64 bit package from SEPM (12.1 RU1) but it just sits at "Retrieving the package data from the management server..."

Could there be some corruption?

I faced this problem a couple of times in RU1 it maybe a problem in this version in some enviroments. It's better to create a support case i think.

Still having the same problem.

System seems to jam up while creating the package.

Even if I try a remote push from the SEPM, it never completes. Leading me to believe it may be an issue with the package.

Try the following steps:-

 

1) Run upgrade.bat from Drive:\Program Files\Symantec\SEPM\Bin

2) Export the package with Basic content, which would make the package small and also easy to be exported.

3) You can also run the config wizard or run a repair on the SEPM.

Hi Brian,

I'm seeing exactly the same with a fresh install (installed yesterday) of SEPM 12.1 RU1.

Remote push never completes (launched from the common tasks list on homepage / new package deployment / etc...).

If I try to export a package (as per how we used to do it in SEPM11.x) and select the 'Progress bar only' or 'Silent' options in my Install Feature Set I still only get an interactive install when running setup.exe.

(Edit: I have never seen the export process finish as I get bored waiting after 30 mins so go off and do something else. When I get back the console has locked itself.)

Here is an excerpt from the Setup.ini included with the silent package I exported (I de-selected 'Create a single .EXE file for this package' so I could see what was going on):

I would expect to see see /qn in there somewhere...???

Anyone at Symantec seeing this???

Using option 2 worked for me. The package is now exporting.

Eveytime need to run upgrade.bat for creating the package. I am weired doing this for my branches. I need to do this everytime when it gets hanged............. Give a permanent solution for this.

 

Also found an error in eventvwr

 

The Apache service named reported the following error:

>>> httpd.exe: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using xx.xx.xx.xx for ServerName .

What to do with this?

i edited httpd and added my servername with the port no also ... Still giving error.

I hope in SEP 12.1 RU1 have problem for 64Bit
