The following operating systems are supported:

    ■ Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.x, 4.x, 5.x

    ■ SuSE Linux Enterprise (server/desktop) 9.x, 10.x

    ■ Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES/OES2)

    ■ Ubuntu 7.x, 8.x, 9.x

    ■ Debian 4.x, 5.x

    Hi aakash_bhalla,

"Thumbs up" to the above,.  There is a "SAV for Linux" .iso that is available with the SEP 11 materials.  This will offer AV protection for many of your Linux machines (not every disto is supportd, and the computer must meet minimum requirements)

The following series of articles will help you make the most of SAVFL:

Please do update this thread with news if your question has been answered, or if there is something in addition that you need! &: )

    Hello,

Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11/12 does not support Linux environment. There is no SEP for Linux. There is SAV for Linux (SAVFL) which is included on the SEP disk download.

The SAVFL client cannot be managed by the SEPM, although it can report logs back to the SEPM by using SAV Reporter, which was released after SAVFL 1.0.10, but can be downloaded from the following KB article.
