Windows Security (XP SP3) no longer recognizes Symantec Endpoint 11.0 is installed on a clinet PC. Scheduled scans work but there is no Network Threat Protection tab and Live Update does not work. I tried repair and uninstall but got the following error: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. How do I uninstall / reinstall SEP?
You should contact Tech Support to get a removal tool for the same.
Before running cleanwipe, try to run setup for SEP client, and see what happens....
Which version is installed on the computer? Eg 11.0.xxxx.xxx.

The reply by Trust to link #2 above, "Allow service to interact with desktop", is what fixed the problem. Many thanks!
