during the installation, there is one interface describing info as below.

the management server and client computers encrypt the data they send each other. You will need to create encryption password below and enter it in the event of disaster recovery.

If I set the password here, is there any place i have to make the same password with that.

could some one help me clear my mind?

    thanks very much!

No just keep this password in your documentation.
You won't need this password anywhere. Except if you run into some problem and you have to rebuild your SEPM, this is your database password.

i have lan-enforcer in my company. I want to enable snac with lan-enforcer and sepm. Do you think the password here related to the lan-enforcer. somebody told me that the password i made will be used for lan-enforcer, right?

    Encryption Password

Name of the password that encrypts communication
between the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager,
clients, and optional Enforcer hardware devices. The
password can be from 1-32 alphanumeric characters and
    is required.
Document this password and put it in a safe. You cannot
change or recover the password after you create the
database. You must also enter this password for disaster
recovery purposes if you do not have a backed up database
    to restore.

It is not possible to recover the encryption password
If you are keeping a regular backup of your database in a safe place it is not at all required
The only scenario which this password is required is if you don't have a database backup and you need to restore the communication with clients..

     You cannot
change or recover the password after you create the
    database.
    however check these documents.
