In the internet i found this articel http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH103176.

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 client is maintaining multiple virus definitions versions on servers

    Hi,

    thx for your answers!

At first i cheked the Disk Space Management Article (TECH96214). We use the default settings with 3 content revisions.

After that i check the How to clear out definitions for a Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 client manually article (HOWTO59193).

    Hi noc,

As per my understanding, the definiton issue is with  Windows Server 2008 R2 client (SEP client) and not on SEPM.

You can try with "Rx4DefsSEP" utility to remove the corrupted defs on the client. Be aware that running this will remove all the defs stored on the client machine. After running this tool you can manually run liveupdate or it will automatically get the defs as per the LU policy configuration.

You can get this tool by contacting Support. More information about this tool can be found in the below link,

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH93036

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

thx for your help. I have solved the error by Ashish answer.

After the restart old virus definitions are automatically deleted from the system.

I hope for a fast solution from Symantec. There is more work to schedule a time out for the server restart.

    Regards
