    Hi,

    We have just installed Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 SP4 on a Server 2003 machine.

    Our client machines are Windows 7 Pro - and I've just tried installing the DAgent onto these workstations remotely (which installs successfully).
    When the client tried to connect back to the Deployment Server it says 'Client Record Updated' and then within 3-4 seconds later it disconnects.

    The client machine doesnt show in the Deployment Console - and the status on the DAgent keeps trying until it stops and hjas the status

    Unable to connect with DAgent for status updates

    When I check the log file I see

    Any ideas? Anyones help would be great.

    I have the firewalls off - so I know it's not a firewall issue and I've also disabled the anti virus to make sure that it's got nothing to do with it either.

    This is just a shot but I was seeing this same situation today.  After banging my head against the wall with the firewalls, AV, etc trying to figure out why the DAgent would connect, disconnect, connect, then disconnect.....I remembered that there were a handful of computers that I had selected to "reject connection" for in the Console in the past. 

    Within the Deployment Console menu bar I selected View, Rejected Computers, and removed those that had been previously rejected.  After this, the DAgent connected and showed up in the Computers Window like it should. 

    Kind of an oversight on my part, and it may not solve you're issue, but this is the same behavior I was seeing.
