Help reguarding LU update in symantec End Point Protection Manager 11.0.6

Hi guys i have installed Symantect End point Protection MANAGER 11.0.6 on windows XP there i created a client and then deployed it. all the things were working fine but as soon as i started the live update problem starts. after some time it gives this error "liveupdate start failed with error code -536805375". i have searched a little bit but didnt found anythng ... please guys help

Hi,

I wonder where (SEP manager or client?) and why you are running LiveUpdate, anything is automatic.

You can try following steps as well,

To solve this issue, follow the below steps:

1. Uninstall both LU and Symantec Endpoint Protection.
2. Delete the following folders:
   • C:\Program Files\Symantec
   • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
   • C:\Users\All Users\Applications\Symantec (Windows Vista Home Premium; other Win OS's would be C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec)
3. Restart the computer.
4. Re-install LU and Symantec Endpoint Protection

tried that solution too but same errors come.

remove liveupdate; 

delete folders

install LU 3.4 frm here

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/liveupdate/3.4/

then install SEP, make sure u r running it as Admin

LiveUpdate 3.4 is built for Norton products: it does not contain the correct features and capabilities for the SEP client or SEPM.

I would suggest you to Follow the Steps below:

To solve this issue, follow the below steps:

1. Uninstall Liveupdate 3.3 from Add/remove Programs (Do not Uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection.)
2. Delete the following folders:
   • C:\Program Files\Symantec
   • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
   • C:\Users\All Users\Applications\Symantec (Windows Vista Home Premium; other Win OS's would be C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec)
3. Restart the computer.
4. Install LiveUpdate using LUSETUP.EXE located in the SEP installation files, in one of the following folders:
   ...CD1\SEPM\ or ...CD1\SEP\
   
   --Or-- 
   
   Download the LUSETUP.EXE (version 3.3.0) file from the following Symantec LiveUpdate Web Page. Be sure to download the version of LUSETUP.EXE that is appropriate for your version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

5. Incase, if you have SEPM on the same machines, Register SEPM with LiveUpdate:

   • Click Start, then Run.
   • Type cmd, then click OK. This will bring up a command prompt.
   • At the command prompt type cd and the path to lucatalog.exe. By default the command would be: 
     
     cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin
6. To register the SEP Client with LiveUpdate:
   1. Type lucatalog.exe -update
   2. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
   3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
   4. Click Symantec Endpoint Protection.
   5. Click Change.
   6. Click Next, select Repair, and click Next again.
   7. Click Install.
   8. Click Finish.

Part 3 provides the solution. However, I would suggest to go through all video's. It shows how to troubleshoot the common issues and few basic troubleshooting.

thanks alot guyz i dont know how but it started working on its on. have no idea what i did to make it working.
