  • 1.  Deploying Windows 7 using ghost solutions 2.5

    Hi folks!

     

    Been a while since I was here and was wondering if deploying windows 7 using ghost solutions 2.5 on windows server 2003 is now an option?

    Reading tons of stuff but see the videos point to Vista.....

    Can someone update me on how I can deploy windows 7 using ghost solutions?

    You need to updated the GSS 2.5 to GSS 2.5.1 build 2266 via Live Update and then deploy the Windows 7 using GSS 2.5.1. Please keep in mind that if you have system reserved partition and os partition, please take the image of both the partitions seperately and deploy it on other machine. Disk to Disk image would be the good option.

    Hi Nitin!

    Thanks for the info...much appreciated. Become guite fond of the older version of Windows Server...Just think it is too expensive with Windows Server 2008! Nice to know that symantec have updated their GSS and it works with windows 7
