    Posted Aug 22, 2012 03:50 PM

I need to be able to send links out with the FQDN of my server in the link. I have gone through the server configuration wizard and chande the server name to the FQDN, but the e-mails sent out for deployment only contain the server name and port. I am using SEPM 12.1.1101.401.

    Thank you

    Kelly

    Hello,

    Check this Article:

Deploying clients using a Web link and email

Upon Highlighting the Web Link and Email, and then clicking Next.  In the Email Recipients and Message panel, specify the email recipients and the subject, and then click Next.

You can either specify who receives the URL by email, or copy the URL and post it to a convenient online location. To specify multiple email recipients, type a comma after each email address.

Incase, this deployment has already done, and you want to Stop the SEPM from sending emails, then it could be done in SEP SBE 12.1.

    Hope that answers!!

    Hi Kelly,

I believe that it is possible to manually edit the mail before deploying (changing the servername to FQDN).  That would be my recommendation under the current SEP design.

Have you considered creating a Conenct forum "Idea" (enhancement request)?  If enough forum members agree that this  si a new feature which should be added, then this feature may be addeed to a future release of SEP.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello,

You could edit the Email Body when deploying the Package via Client deployment wizard as highlighted in the Article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO55064

    Hope that helps!!

Thanks everyone, unfortunately the body of the e-mail isn't editable. I will just have to copy the url and paste it into another e-mail for it to work.
