  • 1.  Error: No Licensed computers or targets with licensed computers were assigned

    Hello,

    When trying to distribute the Software Management Solution Agent task, the following
    error occurs: "No Licensed computers or targets with licensed computers were assigned"

    When viewing our licenses in Symantec Installation Manager is shows the following
    information: Altiris Deployment Solution Core, license type: Full. "In Use: 1", "Count: 6000".

    We have a lots of other Altiris products in Symantec Installation Manager and
    it shows everywhere the same amount of "In use" and "Count"

    Please help!

    Hi Mr. V,

    There are multiple possible causes:

    • The Software Management Solution Agent plug-in is not installed on this selected clients.
    • The licensing for Software Management has expired or has been exceeded.

    Check on the target machine if the Agent Plug-in is listed as installed.  For further details how to install the Software Management Solution Agent plug-in please visit the article below:  HOWTO48739: Installing or upgrading the Software Management Solution plug-in

    To check if licensing is valid, open the Symantec Installation Manager and ensure licensing is still within the correct license counts and that they have not expired.

    Funny, it seems to be the Software Management Solution Agent plug-in policy wich has to be activated!
