  • 1.  Is SNMP available in SEP 12.1?

    Posted Jul 23, 2012 11:55 AM

We want to integrate SEP into a 3rd party management tool and would preferably like to do this via SNMP, is this possible or do I have to write events to an external log and read them with the 3rd party log reader?

    Thanks

The SEPM only provides loggin to file and logging to SysLog.  No SNMP traps or mibs are available.

The above article explain how to send logs to a SysLog server and to file respectively.

only external logging can be sent to syslog server.

To export log data to a Syslog server

1 In the console, click Admin.

    2 Click Servers.

3 Click the local site or remote site that you want to export log data from.

    4 Click Configure External Logging
