    Team,

I have an SEPM with following Client Versions of Package.

Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.671.4971 for WIN32BIT
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.671.4971 for WIN64BIT
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.671.4971 for Mac
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.2015.2015 for WIN32BI
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.2015.2015 for WIN64BIT
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.2015.2015 for Mac
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.3001.165 for WIN32BIT
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.3001.165 for WIN64BIT
Symantec Endpoint Protection version 12.1.4013.4013 for Mac

But the following directory {"C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\ImportPackage"}is of 97.5 GB. Just wanted to Know would that consumes that much amount of HDD Space.

    Hi James,

My SEPM Version is 12.1.3 .But My Concern is I do Clients with all of the above said versions so removing them from Package list will have an impact in future. So is there anyother to way to sort this out.

If you don't need them, you can safely delete them. There is no harm in this. You can always re-import in the future if you need it for some reason.

Strange thing is I've just checked our SEPM and that location C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\ImportPackage doesn't exist well the ImportPackage folder also checked for hidden folders.

So not sure if that folder should even exist there might need confirmation from a symantec employee

The actual location of the Client Packages you referenced is:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Inetpub\ClientPackages

If you deleted unwanted client packages with Admin>Install Packages>Client Install Package>Delete Client Install Package, the size and contents of this folder will be reduced

"ImportPackage" being large is a completely different issue

Stop the SEPM service and Symantec Embedded Database service and delete the contents of:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\outbox\ImportPackage

Restart services or reboot the server

You may want to upgrade to SEPM 12.1.4; you appear to have added the new Mac package to your RU3 SEPM which is supported but best done by the SEPM upgrade to get the new SEPM features that go along with the new Mac client.

    Hello,

There is no any worrying thing to move the package and still you fear to move then take a backup of the same and delete it safely.

    Hi James & Brian,

I had deleted the Packages from SEPM which are not required and even checked by importing it back to SEPM. I am able to do without any issues.

    Thanks for your help

In that case, you can mark your own post as the solution if you wish however it looks to me that MichaelD50 provided that correct solution above. Again, this is for the benefit of future admins looking for a solution to the same problem.

    Thanks for your understanding.
