Hi.
have been using WinPE to create hidden partitions on to pc's to store an altiris image in to.
all has been working fine until the model of the cd rom has changed to ( Lite-On Slimtype DVD A DS8A1P )
now when the Notebook boots it comes up with the error after it has started Win98...
the following file is missing or corrupted: \dos\himen.sys
there is an error in your config.sys file on line 1
Warning: the high memory are (HMA) is not available.
additional low memory (below 640K) will be used instead.
the following file is missing or corrupted: command.com
type the name of the command interpreter (eg . c:\windows\command.com)
in the past we have created a win98 boot disk on the target pc that would make up a files to be used. But this time it did not make a file for the cdrom.
have looked through the web but am unable to find a cd boot driver or a 98 dos driver.
i have found a win98 iso 98 bootable cd file that this iso used oakcdrom.sys
i have looked through all the folders that altiris uses to create the Winpe iso but am unable to determine what file or driver it uses to use for the cd/dvd rom.
Can I use this oakcdrom.sys file during boot to be able to read from the cd/dvd rom
Have flashed the BIOS on the notebook with the latest version an still the same thing.
thanks
