Recently upgraded from 7.1 SP1 to 7.5.
We run our PXE services on a separate site server located adjacent to our NS server. The site server also duplicates as our package server. Anyways, after the upgrade I was having trouble PXE booting.
The first problem I ran into was not getting a boot file at all. I realized that NBS did not install on my site server. I manually installed it following the tech article found here (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH211634).
I now have the PXE services on my PXE server, and can PXE boot. However, now when I PXE boot after going through the F8 menu I do not have any preboot images. I looked on my PXE server ("E:\Program Files\Altiris Agent\Agents\Deployment\SBS\Images") and the folder is empty besides the BStrap folder.
I then checked the Bootwiz log ("E:\Program Files\Altiris Agent\Agents\Deployment\SBS\Bootwiz\{REALLY-LONG-GUID}\cache\bootwiz\bootwiz.log"), and see that Bootwiz is at least running, but it doesn't look like it's completing.
Attached is a copy of my Bootwiz log file. I see multiple errors across it....
To name a few:
2013/11/08 08:19:45 I: .<CPlatformWinPe2::VerifyImportPath - returning 553 (BDC_ERR_MISSING_OS_FILES)
2013/11/08 08:23:12 I: Exit code: (20) 20 BDC_EXIT_INVALID_OS_TYPE - Invalid OS type
Looking on my SMP at Preboot Configuration Status my NBS Site Server shows up, but none of the configuration architecture status sets are green; all red.
Any suggestions or assistance from folks would be greatly appreciated.
