    I was trying to create a ghost image for a machine with new type of NIC(Broadcom 5708C NetXtreme II GigE) using Ghost console v.8. The NIC is working properly on the machine and we have added new network template for it downloaded from Broadcom's website(http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/netxtremeii.php)

    Ghost client is successfully installed and when I started the create image task, with the newly added template, the targeted machine restarted twice but went to Windows 2k3 without creating ghost image. Is there anything I missed? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    The message we saw before entering Windows 2k3

    Can't find DriverName in PROTOCOL.INI
    The driver failed to load.

    and the PROTOCOL.INI file is like this:
    [protman]
    drivername=PROTMAN$
    [pktdrv]
    drivername=PKTDRV$
    bindings=nic
    intvec=0x60
    chainvec=0x66
    [nic]
    drivername = Broadcom BCM5708C Nextreme II$

    How should I tweek the PROTOCOL.INI?

    I finally figure it out.

    I changed the value of [nic] drivername to the filename of the .dos file, which is bxnd20x. And it works now!
    :smileywink:

    Hope it is helpful.
