  • 1.  Dell Latitude E4300 Won't Boot to GSS Server

    hi,

i'm trying to create a master image of a Dell E4300 laptop. i'm able to install ghost on the machine and it is recognized  by my GSS server. i run create image task from the server and during the Pull i get the following error on the workstation (laptop):

    UNDI option ROM not detected!

    PXE UNDI not available

Packet driver failed to inititialize the board

(there is another line of text that appears, but i'm unable to pause the  screen fast enough to capture it.)

i've gone into the E4300's BIOS and made sure the  NIC is set to "Enable w/PXE", but same error appears.

what else can i try? (we have 34 of these machines i'd like to be  able to image via ghost...)

we are using GSS v2 and  works fine on all other machines (Pushes and Pulls).

    thanks.

We are having the same problem.  I can create the Network Boot Disks without a problem but the E-4300 does not load the UNDI driver.  I have tried other dos drivers but still no success.
