  • 1.  NIC inactive with WINPE created by GBW

    Hi all,

    I have a Samsung N110 netbook, which has a Marvell Yukon integrated NIC (88E8040 chipset). However, when I include these drivers in the WinPE-512 package (note, they are in fact 32b Vista drivers and I have also tried 64bit drivers) and Ghost is booted within WinPE, the network card stays inactive (no flashing leds).

    I have aslo tried manually setting the parameters for the nic within driver.manifest as hereunder (the one for internal was set to '0'):
            internal = 0x1
            selected = 0x1

    None of this helps, but I can choose ghostcast as it isn't greyed out. Doesn't this mean that the driver is loaded succesfully? However, NIC stays inactive.

    I am using Ghost solutions suite 2.5 (and I have it fully updated).
    Anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Speek

    internal was just a flag to indicate to GBW whether this driver was included with Winpe by MS (internal) or added by us or users internal=0. It has no effect on the driver. If ghostcast is enabled that means that ghost has found a valid adapter that it may connect to. Do you have a valid IP address?
