  • 1.  Ghost 12 bootable DVD with image, possible?

I've been trying to make a single bootable disc that includes the Ghost image and a few folders for software installation for a class that I teach.  I've tried just about everything I can think of at this point, but the images are never bootable.

I've tried an iso editor to insert the files and it doesn't work.

I've tried to make a multiboot disc and it doesn't work.

I've tried adding the files to the temp directory that the SRD maker creates prior to burning the image and I receive an error that from what I've seen means that the file is larger than 700MB.

I just can't believe that an application made in the last decade wouldn't be able to boot from a DVD; there has to be a way to make this work.

    Thanks for the link.

I've seen that guide, but unfortunately that seems to be for the Solution Suite; Ghost 12 doesn't have a Ghost Boot wizard or anyything like that from what I can see.

i use a program called powerISO.... you have to pay for it or get from torrent but i use it to make single dvd boot disc and image.
    1. make a .ISO image of your bootable recovery disc using poweriso
    2. open the .iso image you just made with poweriso
    3. click add at the top and select the ghost image to put on the disc
    4. burn

Have a look at my Article entitled "Adventures with WinPE"
You can make a bootable CD/DVD/ USB Key/ USB Hard disk using WinPE. You can then add ghost32.exe and your images to the mix.#
Works well for me, although my personal preference is to use USB hard disks as they are so much more flexible to use than DVDs.
