  • 1.  PXE boot creating static ARP entries?

I see this topic was touched on a couple times, but I see no resolution:

I just started using PXE boot yesterday, and of the 4 or 5 computers I've imaged since, I've had 2 that were unable to communicate with the ghost console after the imaging completes, and the issue appears to be static ARP entries on the server running the ghost console. The 3com PXE is installed on this machine also.

Other than a manual arp -d, what can I do about this? PXE seems to work great otherwise, and I expect to have a large number of PCs to image in the next week, so I really don't need this problem to hold me up.

    Thanks.

I have a similar problem. I didn't diagnose it as a static ARP entry, but doing an 'arp -d *' takes care of the problem. This is a real pain. I would love to see this addressed.
