  • 1.  Error with SS2 and ghostwalker editing SID

Hi , I work a an University and making an iamge for next years freshamn system using SS2.  I can make the image fine but when I use ghostwalker to edit the SID # I can not log in using the user account we had set up. We can log into the Admin acct , delete the profile file for the user account and that will work. Does anyone know of how we can easily fix this so we can edit the SID. We have 0ver 600 systems to do. My guess is that ghostwalker is modifing the SID for the system and Admin account but not any other account and Vista is storing the SID in each profile, but that is only aguess.

    Thanks
    Ron

Since I have limitted vista experience and we dont use local accounts... I will offer a suggestion.  Since removing the profile after it is imaged lets you use those accounts, why not delete them from the image itself.  GSS 2.0 lets you modify NTFS volumes so you shouldnt even have to make a new image rather use ghostexplorer to delete it in a test copy image and then try it out.

Otherwise I suspect someone from symantec will have to help you with this one.
