Is there a way to prevent Vontu 7 from flagging keywords when they are followed or preceded by a punctuation mark? For example, one of our poilicies has "Loan" as a keyword and it generates alerts for \Loan or Loan-; I want it to ignore everything unless it is exactly Loan. I have set up the keyword to "Match On Whole Word Only" but that did not solve the issue.

I think that the issue is that Vontu strips down the text to words alone and by that \loan is the same as loan.
I don't think that there is a solution for this issue.
Besides that i would recommend that you upgrade, the newer versions has a lot to offer.

Does Vontu 8, 9 or 10 provide a work around for this issue?

    Hi,
In Symantec DLP 9 and 10 there is a box for "Whole words only".
You can try adding "" before and after the words to see if it works (for example: "RFP")
    Kind Regards,

Thanks for the input but niether the "Whole Words Only" nor the "" solved the problem. If I add quotations around the words it looks for them as part of the keyword.
