I have sevearl clients that are showing their virus definitions state as "Not available", yet the clients are checking in normally and if i go to the actual client machine and check the defintion date, it is up to date. This issue is on both XP and Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit flavors). Doing an update content does not seem to fix the issue. Since their definition updates do appear to be current, I am just curious as to what this status means,

Do I have reason to be concerned?

It essentially means the client isn't reporting it content status to the SEPM.

What version of SEP is this for?

If you do a search for the client in the SEPM, does it show up more than once?

If you open the client and go to Help >> Troubleshooting, does it show as connected to your SEPM?
