    Hello,

we run the current version of SEP on our servers and admins are complaining these messages:

The following lines have triggered an ERRORLEVEL:
Logfile line no. 0067: ANS4251W System Writer file '\\server_xyz\c$\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\EENGINE\eraserutilrebootdrv.sys': not found.

The backup guys asked me to create a dummy file. But the file is existing. Is there an issue by using the path like above?
Does it make sense to exclude a lot of SEP Files e.g. signatures, engine, ....

    Regards,

    Christoph

Create an exception in backup exec to ignore these files.

    Hi,

regarding SEP12 will it be O.K. to exclude these files from backup?

    C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\CurrentVersion\Data\Definitions\VirusDefs
From my point of view the client will be able to download new signatures after a restore.

Excluding c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\EENGINE\ does not help in this case.
But I do not know why...

    Regards,

    Christoph
