  • 1.  EP Console pop-up blinking off

    Hi,

    I've looked for a solution to what looks like a typical problem, but I could not find anything. When I'm on the home page of the remote console, and I click on something that generates a pop-up (Still Infected, for instance), the blank pop-up is opened in IE, but disappears. This happens 10 times.

    I disabled pop-ups in IE. This problem does not occur on the local console on the SEP server.

    What version of SEP are you running? What version of IE is on this system?

    IE 9

    are u able to open the page in the local console?  both of them are of same IE veresion?

    if you are on vista, right click on sepm console and select run as admin option after disabling the UAC

    The server and my workstation were not runnign the same version of IE. The server was running IE 9. I just upgraded the server to IE 9 and the same problem is occuring now on the server. It appears to be a IE 9 issue.

    Ideas?

    I ran the console as admin on both my local workstation and on the server with no change in behavior

    Seems to be a problem ith IE9.IE9 is reporting a lot of problems with SEP and SEPM.Can you uninstall IE 9 and try......

    Hello,

    Question: Are you taking Java Console of SEPM OR Are you taking a Remote Desktop to the SEPM server to access SEPM?

    If in case that is a Java Console of SEPM; 

    The consoles require Java runtime software, so if your computer does not run the correct version of Java runtime, it installs automatically. You may have to adjust your Internet Explorer settings for ActiveX and Java to permit installation.

    Check the settings about the Remote Java Console in the article below:

    Everything was fine on IE8. It's not that the tabs are blank, but that pop-ups crash. I am not using remote desktop.

    I upgraded to IE9 on my workstation and the behavior started. The problem was reproduceable on the SEP server itself when I upgraded it to IE9 after Patch Tuesday.

    After downgrading to IE8, the console behaviour returns to normal.

    The solution seems to be to downgrade to IE 8??

    I echo another's comment: IE9 has been in beta for a while. Symantec was not prepared?
