Chrome Downloads flagged as virus

I have a user who is trying to download pdf files from an internal server and within Chrome, it is finding it as a virus. It states that the file cannot finish downloading due to virus scan. I have uninstalled Symantec Antivirus and the download works fine. I reinstall it, and it works once and then continues to fail. I have 12ru4 running on the PC now and it is still failing. The odd thing is, is that symantec doesn't flag it as a virus. It is flagging it within chrome. A quick google search does not help with the fixes they have come up with. Any ideas?

If you check the risk log, what is the risk detection method used? also, what is the virus name?

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

Make sure Chrome has updated version.

It can be a false positive also.

As Beepe already said, could you please attach the screen-shot of detection?

Chrome is updated to the most recent version. At this time, due to the time to reports come out, I do not have a screen shot, but will send one as soon as they come out.  Nothing shows with in Symantec logs anywhere regarding this being caught, however this does work with symantec uninstalled.

 

This is only for one user. Not a global issue.
