     1.       Please update the Teefer2.sys Symantec Endpoint Protection filter driver.

      File Size (bytes): 62512
      File Date:         Mon Jan 04 16:34:28 2010
      Module TimeDateStamp = 0x4a0b1ec0 - Thu May 14 00:55:52 2009 àUpdate with latest.

     2.       Exclude the Network interfaces drivers  from Antivirus scanning.
     3.       Update the NIC card drivers /firmware.
     4.       As a best practice please install these two hotfixes http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2550886 ; http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;2524478.

    Could you please verify with your local network team at the time of issue was there any network related problems?( From network logs).

    browse to the path on the client system to check the teefer2.sys file version "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\teefer2.sys" right click on the file and select the version tab

    Do we have to upgrade to latest symantec version for latest teefer2 version.

    Yes that is correct. The new version which have the updated binary

    you need to upgrade the client. this will update the teefer driver .

    Hello,

    What version of SEP are you running?

    It is always recommended to make sure you have the Latest version of SEP 11.x running on your Environment. Check this Article:

    Upgrading the SEP to the Latest version, would upgrade the Teefer2.sys driver as well.
