  • 1.  SEP Mac client logging debug or verbose mode

    Hello,

I am testing SEP on some production Macintosh OSX 10.6 machines and I need to see exactly what is being scanned during a scheduled scan. I don't want my SAN volumes to be scanned and before I deploy this to 50 systems, I need to know exactly what it is scanning. I did define some options in the policy but I want to be double sure. I found an article about using debug mode on PC clients but it does not apply to Mac clients as the two are very different. We are running SEP 11.0.6. Any advice is appreciated.

This link should help you. Configure the exceptions as per your choice.

As the document says, Centralized Exceptions are honored only by AutoProtect scans -- so setting exclusions for specific drives this way has no effect on scheduled or on-demand (manual) scans.
