In my env. i have to use Java for Kronos - payroll  system as well as managing cisco ASA etc.

i have SEPM 12.1 RU3 with a mix of SEP 12.1.2015 and 12.1.3 clients installed. I'm noticing now that Java is being blocked unless i upgrade java to the latest version.

I haven't changed any policies. Can someone point me as to where this is being controlled. I need to be able to use Java 7.0.7

Check the control log on the SEP client to see if it tamper protection doing the blocking

    Hi Toolshed,

I'm a bit confused.  There's no SEP "detection" or restriction against old versions of Java.  Known vulnerabilities in Java have been making news for the past year or so, leading many admins to upgrade and avoid any exploit attempts.  Still, SEP is not reliant upon whatever Java is installed on the computer and will work away.

What exactly are you seeing?  What exactly is showing up as blocked?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mick
