  • 1.  Norton Bootable Recovery Tool Usage?

    Posted Jul 07, 2015 12:14 AM

Hi I just want to clarify something that's not written on the help page of the Norton™ Bootable Recovery Tool,

Can I just install the Norton™ Bootable Recovery Tool on a one windows 7 pc and make a bootable flashdrive then use it on other windows 7 and windows xp machines?

Or do I need to install Norton™ Bootable Recovery Tool and make a bootable flashdrive on every single machine?

    Thanks,

Its Bootable USB, OS does not matter.

You need to Set the Bios to boot from USB , when it boots from USB it would run the recovery. Does not matter what OS target machine has.

Norton Bootable Recovery Tool is integrated with Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE). Therefore, you can run Norton Bootable Recovery Tool only from a DVD or USB drive. You must use Norton Bootable Recovery Tool Wizard to create the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool DVD or USB drive.
