USMT fails with SEP 14.2.4814.1101 installed

We've been using Microsoft USMT for a while.  We just started upgrading from 14.2 MP1 to 14.2 (RU1 MP1 - 14.2.4814.1101).  We've found that USMT fails on computers running 14.2.4814.1101. 

Disabling the SEP service does not solve the issue. You have to uninstall it entirely. 

We do not see this issue with 14.2 MP1.

 

Has anyone seen this before?  Is there a new policy setting by chance that I need to take into account?

14.2.4815.1101 this was released in September

Anything specific in logs? Fails during scan or restore?

We downloaded and tried 14.2.4815.1101 and saw the same errors.

Fyi, 14.2.4815.1101 produced the same errors.

Try exluding the Microsoft USMT service and see if that helps.

It seems it fails with 14.2.5323.2000 as well . We tried to pin down what was causing  our issue. USMT now fails during the Capture process. We alleviated by copying the USMT folder locally then running scanstate.exe. 

 

Restore fails when it attempts to access the Delivery optimization folder. See below error.  We have placed a net stop command stopping the service Delivery  Optimization and we have had some success.
