https://fileconnect.symantec.com/  You will require your Serial number

    Or from Symantec directly.

Not sure if this would work on the SEPM but for client only, maybe?

If you have the SEP CD downloaded LUSETUP.exe should be on the disk that you can install with. If you don't have that available you can download just LUSETUP.exe from the link below.

    ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/liveupdate/3.3.0/LUSETUP.EXE

Once you have installed liveupdate you will need to re-register it with the client by running a repair through add/remove programs.

    Hello Hell Flavored,

You need to download LiveUpdate 3.3 and install it on the machine. You can use Cameron's link or this one.

As Cameron touched on briefly, you will need to register your Symantec products before LiveUpdate will download updates for them. This includes both the SEP client and the SEPM.

Here are the steps for registering the SEPM and the SEP client with LiveUpdate.

    To register SEPM with LiveUpdate:

    1. Click Start, then Run.
    2. Type cmd, then click OK. This will bring up a command prompt.
    3. At the command prompt type cd and the path to lucatalog.exe. By default the command would be:
      cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin
    4. Type lucatalog.exe -update

Note:  If SEP 12 Small Business Edition is installed, then the default command would be cd C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Protection Center\bin

To register the SEP Client with LiveUpdate:

    1. Click Start Settings Control Panel.
    2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
    3. Click Symantec Endpoint Protection.
    4. Click Change.
    5. Click Next, select Repair, and click Next again.
    6. Click Install.
    7. Click Finish.

The source of these steps is the following document.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

    James

Just to confirm: are you talkign about a SEP 11 client or SEP 12.1 client?  (SEP 12.1 uses a new technology for LiveUdate, different from what is described above.)

If it is SEP 11: be careful that you do not use the 3.4 or 3.5 versions of LiveUpdate.  Those are not intended for use with SAV or SEP and will not function correctly.  Just use the latest available version 3.3.
