Enable HIDS on SEPM 12.1.6

Hello,

Currently using SEPM 12.1.6 MP9

Enviornment : Windows

I have a requirement to install Host Intrusion Detection System(HIDS) on the windows servers. How and where do I enable this features in SEPM ? I also need a document referring to enabling HIDS if Symantec has one.

First question: Is the IPS component already installed as part of the feature set? If not, it needs to be added:

Second, from the Policies page, you can assignt he IPS policy to the groups that require it:

Thanks Brian. I need to enable HIDS (Host Intrusion Detection System) rather than Host Intrusion Prevention System(HIPS). Control requirement mentions specifically to enable just intrusion detection system although enabling HIPS might work. Is there a way to do achieve this with the same policy?

HIPS and HIDS are essentially the same thing. SEP only has HIPS. HIPS satisfies the control you're referring to.
