Frequently reboot of PC's & Server's

  • 1.  Frequently reboot of PC's & Server's

    I am facing the below issue

    "The process C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.1101.401.105\Bin\ccSvcHst.exe (venus) has initiated the restart of computer venus on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for the following reason: Legacy API shutdown\r\n Reason Code: 0x80070000\r\n Shutdown Type: restart\r\n Comment::

    Why Symantec Endpoint protection is restarting.?

    Is this the known issue ?

    HI,

    Try to uninstall SEP client and check ?

    Check in any one run restart command in SEPM server ?

    is there command from sepm for restart?

    can you check the sepm command logs?

    CHecked the command status logs nothing found. Not issued Restart the clients command from SEPM

    Random. There is no hint & not even user gets the popup.

    It's one time reboot or again and again ?

    Do you have upgrade some thing ?

    As per my observation & reported by our monitoring team.

    On few PC's one time & on other few PC's 3 to 4 times

    Hi,

    Try to uninstall SEP one or two pc which are restart again 3 or 4 time

    Can you check the event viewer of couple of machines which rebooted, so as to what was the last activity and which process initiated a Reboot.

    The group was assigned once to aut0upgrade & then removed.

    Due to this i suspect it has got rebooted.Now the systems are not getting rebooted.
